Founded in 1976 by brothers Waleed and Malik Ali, the MPI Media Group has grown into one of the largest and most successful independent producers and distributors of movies, home video and music in the world. Today, the multi-million dollar company has amassed a library of 15,000 hours of footage and the rights to some of the greatest video, film and music recordings in history. The MPI Media Group is comprised of MPI Home Video, MPI Telemedia and the WPA Film Library. Headquartered in Chicago, the company operates from a 42,000 square foot facility in Orland Park, IL.
MPI Home Video has well over 2000 home video titles in its collection, including some of the world’s most popular documentaries, movies and television programs. Some of the titles represented by MPI Home Video are The George Carlin Collection, Completely Carlin, The Honeymooners “Lost Episodes,”The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, The History of the 20th Century and the visually stunning 70 mm documentary Baraka. Upcoming releases from MPI Home Video include the 14 Sherlock Holmes movies starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, digitally restored to original condition by the UCLA Film and Television Archive.
